- What is the purpose of the Utah Triple Crown?
- To encourage and recognize elite long distance cyclists.
- How do I qualify?
- You must complete three 200 mile bike rides that last no longer than one day, in Utah, in one year.
- When does the year start?
- January 1, 2015; and ends December 31, 2015.
- What rides qualify?
- Desperado Dual, Hoodoo 500, Lotoja and Infinity Bike Ride.
- How can my event be considered as a Utah Triple Crown qualifier?
- The Utah Triple Crown does not organize any of the events . Instead we compile lists of the finishers and provide recognition for completing three of these events. Utah Triple Crown has minimum requirements for the Organizers rides to count. First the ride must start, finish, or have a significant portion in Utah. Second the ride must have a distance of at least 200 miles in one day. Riders must abide by organizers rules for Utah Triple Crown Credit. Organizers need to print or post a list of qualified finishers, or submit one to the Utah Triple Crown website. Each Organizer controls their own events and sets their own rules.
- Why, how, and when do I register for the Utah Triple Crown?
- Registering your name with the Utah Triple Crown is easy. Just click here and log in. We value your privacy and will never sell or distribute your information. Credit is given to all finishers that are reported by the Organizers. The results from finishers lists are posted by last name and then first name. Please be sure to register with the Utah Triple Crown and sign up for the double centuries using the same last name and first name to ensure proper credit.
- What are the rules for work/test rides?
- Staff / Volunteers and support personnel may ride the test rides for Utah Triple Crown Credit. This provides them with an opportunity to receive the same recognition while allowing them to support the rides. The date of the workers/test ride, if available should be posted in advance, and must be taken up with the ride Organizer.
- What is considered ride support?
- Volunteers may be asked to assist with loading the trucks, SAG, food prep and/or purchasing, registration/sign in, packet organizing, rest stop assisting, course marking, test riding, setting up and/or taking down, and general clean up. Any and all support is greatly appreciated and needed to make a ride run smoothly.
- Can I have someone volunteer for me?
- Yes. We ask that you make sure to let the Organizer know you are there and where you will be helping, so they can keep track of the course.
- When can I order a jersey?
- The Utah Triple Crown jersey's are produced by Blackbottom, and will be available to be viewed soon.
- Is there an award ceremony?
- Yes, We will have a luncheon where you will receive a finishers medal, and the jersey you ordered. We will also take an award group picture for the 2015 winners.
